About Me

I am a future HCI graduate student and recent Informatics graduate from Indiana University Bloomington with focuses in web and app design, game development, data science, and computer science. I have been programming for about 8 years now with considerable experience in 8 languages and counting. Although the majority of my experience is in Java and Python, Swift was what immediately fascinated me upon taking a class on it in my Sophomore year. I have since worked as a teaching assistant for that same class, allowing me to share my passion with others, as well as deepen my understanding of the language and its limitations. This passion grew into a deeper desire to work in the field of design, and I have since designed for companines such as Salesforce, Adobe, and ESPN. The work was deeply engaging and spoke to me, leading me down the path to committing to Luddy’s HCI graduate program. The road ahead endlessly intrigues me, and I look forward to making my mark on the future.

My Personal Life

Backpacking Picture

Outside of my main coursework, I keep busy. Throughout my time at IU I’ve continued expanding on my lifelong interest in the outdoors, mainly through IU’s Outdoor Adventures department. Over the years I’ve jumped from hobby to hobby, with some such as skateboarding going back as far as 8 years ago. In recent years I’ve taken up cycling and hiking as my go-to getaways, but I’m always looking for new ways to explore.
